"It's good to be back!"

That's Sierra's reaction to moving back to the Rio Grande Valley, where she finished growing up, graduating from San Benito High School.

Sierra earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communication from East Texas Baptist University. From there, she worked as a multimedia journalist at KTBS-3, the ABC television affiliate in Shreveport, Louisiana, covering the tri-state area known as the ArkLaTex.

Sierra's reporting covered a wide range of news including crime, the area's economic resurgence, race relations, Barksdale Air Force Base, as well as government and politics.

Her reporting contributed significantly to the station's award-winning election coverage, garnering The Louisiana Association of Broadcasting 2017 Prestige Award for Election Coverage-TV.

"KRGV-TV viewers are my neighbors," Sierra says. "I look forward to hearing from them, to report on their trials and triumphs."
