NEAR BROWNSVILLE – Construction of the Space X site near Boca Chica Beach continues to make progress.

One of two antennas that will help track future missions to space was fully installed on its concrete foundation.

Space X spokesman James Gleeson said the antenna was shipped in from Cape Canaveral through a tractor trailer last fall.

Another concrete foundation for the second antenna is also already in place. The antenna is expected to arrive on Boca Chica Beach later this year.

Specifically, the crew will drag on missions to the international space station starting as soon as next year.

Gleeson said Space X is still targeting 2018 for their first launch.
