Strong Winds Leave Campaigns Signs Scattered in Alton
ALTON –Alton officials say some campaign signs from last month’s election were left scattered around the city after this week’s strong winds.
An Alton ordinance gives candidates 10 days after the March 6 primary elections to remove the signs.
Alton Assistant City Manager Jeff Underwood says although they’ve contacted candidates to clear their signs, the task often falls on city workers.
