WESLACO – The Texas Medical Board has temporarily suspended effective immediately, the license of a Mission doctor.

According to the agency, Dr. Rolando Hinojosa’s practice is a threat to public welfare.

In a press release issued out Wednesday, the board says they discovered the internal medicine specialist suffers from an impairment that prevents him from practicing medicine safely.

A temporary suspension hearing will be held in the days to come, unless specifically waived by Dr. Hinojosa.
