UPDATE (7/18): A Weslaco woman has her trash can back. 

Mary Ann Garcia says her Republic Services trash bin disappeared with last month's flooding at the Las Brisas subdivision. 

The company told us they had also run out of trash cans and couldn't replace them right away. 

This week they continue to replace them in the 26 Rio Grande Valley cities they service.

WESLACO – Residents in a Weslaco neighborhood say their trash can bins went missing when the floods occurred.

One resident at the Las Brisas subdivision says she called the city several times to get a replacement.

She says it’s been three weeks and she still hasn’t received a new bin.

KRGV’s Cecilia Gutierrez spoke with a resident about the issue.
