Two Robbery Suspects Arrested in Cameron County
Two suspects in a robbery out of Harlingen are behind bars in Cameron County.
Sheriff Omar Lucio tells CHANNEL 5 NEWS the robbery happened at a store on West Expressway 83 around 5 a.m. Saturday.
Victor Hernandez and Octavio Cortez went before a judge Sunday morning.
Both are charged with aggravated robbery.
One of the men entered the store wearing a ski mask, armed with a knife.
Sheriff Lucio says he demanded a cashier hand over all the money in the register.
The men made off with $125, but their vehicle was later tracked down in Primera.
Hernandez's bond was set at $25,000.
Cortez's bond was set at $75,000.
