US Training Mexican State Officers
REYNOSA, Mex. – According to the state of Tamaulipas, the U.S. Customs and Border Protection is training Mexican state police.
A spokesperson said seven Tamaulipas state police officers were trained on police tactics and intelligence gathering.
The officers also learned how to handle K9 officers for dogs that sniff out drugs, explosives, weapons, currency and human remains.
CHANNEL 5 NEWS reached out to CBP for more details about the training.
They have not yet responded to our request for comment.
