WESLACO – A Rio Grande Valley businessman was in New York City at the time of the Tuesday attack. He shared some of the images he captured with CHANNEL 5 NEWS.

Sebastian Sobczak is the founder of Golazo Soccer, which owns and operates indoor and outdoor soccer facilities in the Valley.

Sobczak said he was at the scene of the New York attack with his son. In the video he provided, we can see the immediate aftermath of the terrorist attack in lower Manhattan.

The attacker crashed into a bus designed to transport students with special needs.

In the footage, the bus driver said the students are trapped inside. That’s when Sobczak sprung into action.

He tried to work his way inside, then he moved to the rear of the bus. Sobczak said that’s when he noticed it had caved in from the impact of the attacker’s truck.

ABC is reporting two students were injured and another is in critical condition.

Sobczak described how he saw the gunman jump from his rental truck with a gun in his hand. He claims he alerted police to the gunman.

He closes a post on YouTube with the words, “My fam is safe. Horrific day.”
