WESLACO - A growing pile of trash is leaving a Valley man asking for help for his colonia.

Luciano Ramirez has lived in the Indian Hills East Colonia for almost 20 years.

He says the pile of trash next to his house has been there for months.

"People keep throwing more and more trash here," he says.

Ramirez is worried the trash will soon cover his water meter.

CHANNEL 5 NEWS spoke with Hidalgo County Precinct One Assistant Chief Administrator Pepe Cabeza de Vaca.

He says piles like the one next to Ramirez’s house are considered illegal dumping.

Cabeza de Vaca encourages others to be on the lookout for anyone illegally dumping trash.

He says you can report illegal dumping by calling the Precinct One Office at 956-968-8733.
