Water Rescues, Clean-Up Continue for Valley Cities Affected by Floodwaters

PHARR – Clean-up continues for Rio Grande Valley residents whose homes have been damaged by flood waters. 

Many families are in shelters as a result. 

Several cities in Hidalgo and Starr counties have witnessed major flooding, including Roma and Pharr. 

Multiple agencies were involved in a rescue that took place Thursday night near South Jackson Street and Orangewood Drive Grove in Pharr.

Starr County Judge Eloy Vera says authorities had to pump water that had made its way downhill east of Roma along Efren Ramirez Avenue.
