Weslaco Family Still Cleaning Up after Recent Rain
WESLACO – Rio Grande Valley families continue rebuilding and recovering two weeks after flooding damaged their homes.
It’s a new daily routine for many at a Weslaco subdivision.
Lucy Morin says she and her family were rescued by sheriff’s deputies while floodwater filled her Las Brisas home. Now, she says she has to learn a new trade to get her life back to normal.
“What I’m doing now is taking off the sheetrock, taking all these down because it’s all wet,” she points out.
KRGV’s Angelo Vargas joined her in the clean-up process.
