Authorities have charged a woman with intoxication manslaughter after a fatal crash near Elsa.

It happened around four o'clock Saturday morning at FM 88 and FM 1925.

DPS Lieutenant Johnny Hernandez tells CHANNEL 5 NEWS a white Ford Focus driven by 44-year-old Marita Moralez was traveling northbound at an unsafe speed, before losing control on a curve and rolling over several times.

37-year-old Dee Rodriguez, a passenger in the vehicle, was ejected and died at the scene.

Moralez is being held at the Hidalgo County Jail.

Authorities are investigating.
