MCALLEN – A McAllen woman says a moving company is holding her money in spite of the money-back guarantee they initially offered.

Shirley Gutternfelder-Hearne says the business encouraged her to buy packing supplies.

“’Remember, we’ll buy back any unused boxes as long as you have a receipt,’” she points out in the receipt.

Guttenfelder-Hearne says she returned for a refund but it was denied due to her replacing her card, which did not match the one on the receipt.

KRGV’s Carolina Cruz reached out to the moving company. A spokesperson says they’re looking into her case.
