Boy Injured in Crash Expected to Be Released from Hospital
WESLACO--Weslaco police said an 11-year-old boy injured in a crash on Expressway 83 Thursday morning is being released from the hospital Sunday.
Weslaco police told CHANNEL 5 NEWS the family said the boy is doing great.
The crash happened on Expressway 83 near Westgate. It started as a minor crash with three cars parked in the shoulder. A fourth driver then crashed into them.
The boy suffered a fractured skull. The boy's mother, identified as 42-year-old Priscilla Ann Jimenez-Trejo, died at the scene.
So far, no one has been charged for the crash.
