Rio Grande City's DeAndre Rodriguez signs to play baseball at Ranger College

Rio Grande City's DeAndre Rodriguez signed his letter of intent to play baseball at Ranger College on Tuesday afternoon.
"Ranger [College] just felt like home to me," Rodriguez said. "Some place that I could get better, develop and hopefully one day go onto the Division I level."
The signing comes after the Rattler star took home District MVP as a senior.
He was also a first team All-District catcher as a junior and Offensive Player of the Year as a sophomore.
"Feels amazing. Going onto the next level is something that I've always dreamed of as a little kid," Rodriguez added. "Doing it in front of my hometown is something I've always wanted to do since I was little."
