Willacy County delays in-person public school classes until September

Willacy County Judge Aurelio Guerra Jr. and the county health authority issued on Tuesday an order to delay in-person public school instruction until after Sept. 18.
The order is due to the increasing number of COVID-19 cases in Willacy County and applies to all public schools.
Hidalgo, Cameron and Starr counties have already issued similar guidelines.
