3 FEMA Disaster Relief Centers Opening in the RGV

WESLACO – Two disaster relief centers will open in the Rio Grande Valley to help people affected by the June severe weather.

The Federal Emergency Management Agency says they will assist flood victims in applying for federal assistance.

The first center will be set up at the Weslaco Economic Development Center located at 275 S. Kansas Ave. and will open its doors on Tuesday, July 17.

The second center will open at the Mission Social Event Center located at 115 S. Mayberry Rd. and will open on Wednesday, July 18.

Another disaster recovery site is set to open Friday, July 20 at the McAllen Chamber of Commerce: Old Church Winery located at 700 North Main St.

Hours of operations for the three centers are from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. on the first day. After that, the hours will be from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
