EDINBURG - If you do well in the NBA G-League, there's a chance the NBA comes calling. Vipers coach Joseph Blair is the latest example.

Wednesday, the Philadelphia 76ers announced they hired Blair to be their new offensive assistant coach.

Blair was an assistant coach for the Vipers for three years before he was promoted this season.

In his first stint as a head coach, Blair led the Valley's pro basketball team to their third NBA G-League title.

Blair joins Nick Nurse (Raptors head coach), Chris Finch (Pelicans associate head coach), and Matt Brase (Rockets assistant coach) on the list of Vipers coaching alums that are currently working for NBA teams.
