BROWNSVILLE – A 60-year sentence was handed down for a Cameron County man convicted of child sex crimes.

Luis Fernando Puente, 27, was found guilty of one count of continuous sexual assault of a child and four counts of possession of child porn.

Puente turned himself in to Brownsville police earlier this year.

Prosecutors say he admitted to molesting a child in four different counties over a four-year span.
