CBP Arrest Man Attempting to Smuggle Nearly $1M in Methamphetamine
HIDALGO – A man was arrested at the Hidalgo International Bridge after attempting to smuggle methamphetamine Wednesday.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection says the 44-year-old Mexican national was referred to secondary inspection on the bridge when K9 officers alerted officials.
CBP discovered $940,000 worth of methamphetamine, weighing 47 pounds, concealed within his vehicle.
CBP turned him over to Homeland Security.
