Drainage Project Construction Aggravating Some Edinburg Residents
EDINBURG – The Hidalgo County Drainage District 1 is adding drains to parts of Edinburg.
The new system is meant to prevent clogged drains, but residents along Gardenia Street say they’re left with a dangerous ditch and no safety warning.
More than 10 similar ditches line the same stretch of road, causing some residents’ vehicles to drift inside.
CHANNEL 5 NEWS spoke to the district manager, Raul Sesin, who they will send the ground investigator, but it is up to the contractor to secure the area.
