MERCEDES – The WesMer Drive-In Theater in Mercedes has struggled to reopen after June’s floods forced it to close.

Many local residents have been wondering when they will be back in business.

KRGV’s Sierra Pizarro spoke with the owners to find answers.

“The water was to our waist. It was all flooded,” explains Lydia Garza, owner of the theater. She says she spent thousands of dollars on a new projector.

Garza tells CHANNEL 5 NEWS the screen will light up again Friday night.
