BROWNSVILLE – Election officials say Cameron County is seeing a difference in the number of registered voters for the upcoming mid-term elections.

Cameron County Elections Administrator Remi Garza says the county will hold 10 elections on Election Day set for Tuesday, Nov. 6.

“We usually see a dip in participation, but this year we’ve had a lot of calls; people showing a lot of interest, making sure they can vote in this election,” he says.

The deadline to register to vote is 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 9
