A seven-year-old girl has died from injuries sustained in an ATV crash near Edinburg.

Three other children were also hurt.

DPS Lieutenant Johnny Hernandez tells CHANNEL 5 NEWS an eight-year-old boy, two seven-year-old girls and a five-year-old girl were all on the ATV when it crashed into a pole.

The crash happened around 5:30 Saturday afternoon on the 5400 block of Lorena Street.

Lieutenant Hernandez said the seven-year-old was airlifted to the hospital for treatment of her injuries.

The other three children were taken by ambulance.

The seven-year-old died Sunday.

DPS Troopers are investigating.
