Harlingen Woman Arrested for Bringing Prohibited Substance into Jail
A Harlingen woman is behind bars for bringing a prohibited substance into the county jail.
Police say 35-year-old Sandra Lucia Mendoza-Perez came into the jail to drop off a jacket to a man who was incarcerated.
When a jailer searched the jacket as part of policy, marijuana was found in the front pocket.
Shortly after, Mendoza-Perez was taken into custody.
She's being held on a $10,000 bond.
