EDINBURG - The last man accused in the botched smash and grab at the McAllen Plaza Mall is set for sentencing Thursday.

There have been seven arrested and convicted, and six already in prison.

Abner Posos is the last of the seven men set for sentencing.

He was originally supposed to be sentenced last week but that was delayed.

Posos was convicted on five counts of aggravated robbery.

Police say the attempted heist wasn't the first for Posos.

Posos and another man convicted, Brayan Melchor, served time for a similar attempt in California.
