Local Grain Trader Expects Positive Change in Industry following Mexico's Presidential Election
DONNA- A local grain trader is expecting a change in the grain industry due to the newly-elected president in Mexico.
Grain-trader Octavio Garza thinks the industry can expect a positive change now that President Andrés Manuel López Obrador has promised more subsidies for the Mexican farmers.
"I think it will probably benefit because we're going to see higher domestic prices in Mexico," said Garcia.
President Trump signed a revised North American trade pact with the leaders of Canada and Mexico, a day before the new president was sworn in.
