WESLACO - The quickest way to advance in a best-of-three series is to sweep the first two games.  That's what the McAllen Bulldogs did on Saturday to advance in the 6A baseball playoffs.  As for softball, Rio Hondo did it the long way.  After winning an extra inning game one on Friday, the Bobcats played 15 innings against Wimberley in game two before losing 9-8.  The third and deciding game didn't start until almost midnight on Saturday.  When the dust had settled, Rio Hondo had won game three by a 6-3 score to advance in the 4A tournament.  CHANNEL 5's Brandon Ortega has the highlights of all the day's softball and baseball playoff action.
