Recovery Centers Opening for Valley Residents, Businesses Impacted by Floods

WESLACO – Recovery specialist will be on-hand this week to assist Rio Grande Valley flood victims and businesses impacted by last month’s floods.

FEMA representatives, along with the Small Business Administration will be at the disaster recovery centers in Willacy and Hidalgo counties to help anyone to file an application.

The centers to help residents will be open seven days a week from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the following locations:

Community County Safe Room
10804 Business 77 in Raymondville
Opens Wednesday, July 24

La Villa Youth Center
302 West 2nd Street in La Villa
Opens Thursday, July 25

Residents can also apply online at DisasterAssistance.gov or by calling 800-621-3362 between the hours of 7 a.m. and 10 p.m.

Businesses impacted by the floods can visit the business recovery center in Harlingen starting Tuesday, July 23 to talk to representatives about the SBA’s disaster loan program.

The business recovery center will be at the following location from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday:

SBA Lower Rio Grande Valley District Office
2422 East Tyler Avenue, Suite E in Harlingen
