A teacher at the Rio Grande City Grulla Independent School District is facing multiple theft charges.

Janie Lopez was arrested Wednesday after a parent made a complaint on Tuesday to the district. RGCGISD police conducted an investigation that led to the arrest.

The district has not released any more information about the case.
