SAN BENITO – The city of San Benito has concluded their internal investigation over an officer involved shooting case.

According to the release, one of the officers involved will be suspended for five days.

However, Police Chief Fred Bell has requested the Attorney General to keep the investigation open beyond the 180-day deadline.

In December, authorities say Ricardo Trevino led officers on a high speed chase; it ended in gunfire, killing Trevino.

The Texas Rangers are continuing with their investigation.
