SAN JUAN – Damage caused by June’s floods still exists in the Rio Grande Valley.

A San Juan woman blames her roofing contractor for the mess at her home.

Manuela Hernandez says she had her roof resurfaced almost a year ago by Family General Construction.

"I paid 3,600 in cash and they said I had a one-year warranty and the shingles for 30 years, but none of them were good,” she says.

Hernandez tells CHANNEL 5 NEWS the mold appeared after the June floods.

KRGV’s Angelo Vargas reached out to the president of the company, Israel Vela.

He says he will work on the issue Monday.
