FORT WORTH, Texas (AP) - A sinkhole appeared at an intersection in an area west of downtown Fort Worth popular for its shopping and restaurants.

One vehicle was towed away after partially falling into the sinkhole Thursday morning. Police said the front right tire of a vehicle went into the hole, but the left tire was still on the asphalt.

No injuries were reported.

Juan Cadena, the city's chief operations officer for street and stormwater operations, said they are still trying to determine what caused the sinkhole. He estimated it was several feet deep. He says the opening is about 1½ feet by 5 feet.
