SOUTH PADRE ISLAND – The City of South Padre Island could repeal its ban on plastic bags following a new court ruling.
SPI city council will meet Wednesday to discuss the bag ordinance.
A recent Texas Supreme Court ruling dealing with a bag ordinance in Laredo has called into question the legality of city ordinances around the state.
The public will be able to address the issue at the meeting.
