NEAR RIO GRANDE CITY – Tuesday night’s elections in Starr County were delayed.

We learned it was a rare technical malfunction which delayed the election results.

CHANNEL 5 NEWS called the Secretary of State office, which is also the chief election officer in Texas, to get answers.
