State Gun Restrictions for License Holders on 'Soft Targets'
WESLACO – In Texas, there are additional restrictions on carrying guns in churches, hospitals – places otherwise known as soft targets.
Under Texas law, a person who has a license to carry cannot take a handgun into a church, synagogue or any other place of worship.
The same rule also covers hospitals, schools, cars, amusement parks and other areas.
At some of these locations, a license holder can enter a place with a handgun but only after asking for permission.
