KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) - Kentucky coach John Calipari says he doesn't know if star forward PJ Washington will play Friday in the Midwest Region semifinal against Houston.

The second-seeded Wildcats (29-6) beat Abilene Christian and Wofford without Washington in the first two rounds of the NCAA Tournament. Washington sprained his left foot against Tennessee in the Southeastern Conference Tournament semifinals March 16.

The 6-foot-8, 228-pounder averages 14.8 points and 7.5 rebounds to lead the Wildcats. He's among 15 candidates for the John R. Wooden Award that goes to the nation's outstanding player.

Calipari says even if Washington does play the coach does not think it would be for more than 15 minutes.
