HARLINGEN – The suspect in a hit-and-run that took place in Harlingen last month has been charged.

Michael David Rincones, 27, was charged in the deadly crash.

It happened on the 400 block of west Taft Street on July 21.

When police arrived on scene, 21-year-old Adrian Eduardo Jimenez was lying on the ground with injuries and was taken to a hospital where he later died.

Authorities say they received information leading them to the suspect one month later.

Rincones’ bond was set at $50,000.
