Suspect in Officer-Involved Shooting Released from Hospital, Arrested

BROWNSVILLE – The man who allegedly shot at a Brownsville police officer during a robbery is now behind bars.

On Monday, Texas Rangers executed 10 warrants issued for Luis Armendariz Jr.

Authorities say the 37-year-old wounded an officer in the leg during a July 4 botched robbery at a CVS store on Alton Gloor Boulevard.
