UPDATE (7/3): Weslaco police say they have located 52-year-old Jose Antonio Medrano and he is now safe.

WESLACO – The Weslaco Police Department has activated an endangered missing person alert for a 52-year-old man.

Jose Antonio Medrano was last seen Sunday evening on the 1800 block of North Texas Blvd in Weslaco.

Medrano is diagnosed with a mental condition.

He’s described as five foot. eight inches tall with gray hair and brown eyes.

According to a release, he has a thick mustache, thin build and a dark complexion.

He was last seen wearing an orange shirt and gray shorts.
