A study from Moderna between their COVID-19 vaccine and kids under the age of six has been successful, the company announced.

"That's very encouraging because Pfizer tried to do the same thing some months ago but they didn't reach the numbers the CDC wanted them to reach," Dr. Alvaro Donaire Garcia said.

Contrary to what some people believe, children are getting sick with the virus, Garcia said.

“Since the beginning of the pandemic, we've seen some kids coming severely sick with inflammation in the heart, in the lungs that we tend to attribute as a post-inflammatory reaction to the COVID infection," Garcia said.

Some parents who spoke to Channel 5 News said they’re not on board with kids under the age of six getting the show, while others said it wouldn’t be a problem.
