Economedes standout soccer players sign to play at Jarvis University

Economedes soccer players Jose Villarreal and Jose Rios are heading to the college level after wrapping up their high school careers.
Jose Rios took over as the team's goalkeeper this past season taking the title of District 31-6A Goalkeeper of the Year. He reflected on his time playing the sport. "It was the best four years of my life. This is my last year playing soccer and proved it to coach Rod. He let me play and now I'm going to play college soccer," Rios said.
Jose Villarreal, the two year team captain and District 3-6A MVP said he is looking forward to what comes next. "I'm excited to play at the next level. It's a new challenge for me. It's amazing I'm really grateful for everyone that showed up. I know there's a lot of people that support me and I'm grateful for them being here for a special day of my life today," Villarreal said.
