Fatal Motorcycle Accident in Harlingen
HARLINGEN – A man died in a motorcycle accident in Harlingen just after 9 p.m. Sunday. It happened on the intersection of FM 106 and FM 509, which is east of the Harlingen Soccer Complex.
Witnesses told Harlingen police a motorcyclist was traveling eastbound and ran a red light at the intersection on FM 509. Police said the motorcyclist hit a gray Toyota Tundra truck making a left turn onto FM 509.
When officers arrived, they found the motorcyclist lying on the road. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Harlingen police said that they have identified the victim and have notified the next of kin. They will release his identity Monday afternoon.
