Valley Leaders Meet to Discuss Ways to Increase Participation in 2020 Census
WESLACO – The 2020 Census is one year away and Rio Grande Valley leaders say our population is under-counted.
Hidalgo County Judge Richard Cortez says this causes the community to lose representation and social services are impacted.
Valley leaders met Monday to discuss ways to encourage residents to participate in the Census.
Cortez says the survey helps to determine federal funding and congressional representation.
