ALAMO – The Hidalgo County Sheriff’s Office issued a regional alert for a missing Alamo teenager.

Officials are searching for 16-year-old Ambar Yamileth Perez.

She was last seen Friday at 7 p.m. in Alamo.

Perez is described as a Hispanic, five foot five inches tall and weighs about 125 pounds; she has brown eyes and black hair.

She has a tattoo on the center of her chest and was last seen wearing an unknown colored top with blue denim jeans.

Authorities say Perez is believed to be in danger and may have crossed into Mexico.

Alamo police are assisting in the investigation.
