BROWNSVILLE – Brownsville authorities are looking for suspects who were caught on camera stealing a puppy.

The chihuahua had been found roaming the streets of Brownsville when the shelter took him in.

The puppy was stolen from the Brownsville Animal Regulation and Care Center in Olmito last week, just six days after being taken in.

The camera that caught the footage is just one of many cameras placed all over the property to keep watch on the hundreds of future pets that wait to find their homes.

KRGV’s Sierra Pizarro spoke with a Brownsville detective about the case.

If you have any information, call police at 546-8477.
