MCALLEN – The aftermath from the panic from a robbery attempt inside La Plaza Mall in McAllen are somewhat back to normal.

Shattered glass is spread across the floor inside Deutsch and Deutsch jewelry store.

Evidence markers are set and law enforcement has blocked off the scene for their investigation.

At the same time, a lot of customers who went back inside the mall after the chaotic event weren’t fazed.

They continued shopping and ate at the food court located right by the crime scene.

Many stores inside closed for the day.

A store manager who spoke with CHANNEL 5 NEWS says her company trained all employees just a month ago for an event like this.
