Democratic Presidential Candidate Calls to End ‘Remain in Mexico’ Policy
MATAMOROS, Tamaulipas, Mex. – A Democratic presidential candidate called for an end to a new immigration policy.
Julian Castro was in the Rio Grande Valley on Monday, he crossed into Mexico to visit a refugee camp in Matamoros near an international bridge.
Hundreds of immigrants are there waiting in tents for their asylum court hearing.
Castro called for an end to the Migrant Protection Protocol program, also known as Remain in Mexico.
