DPS Chase in McAllen Ends in Crash, Suspect in Custody
UPDATE (5:30 p.m.): The northbound lane of 29th Street has re-opened.
MCALLEN – Authorities confirm a person who led Texas Department of Public Safety on a chase is in custody.
It happened near Ithaca and 29th streets in McAllen.
Authorities tell us the suspect hit another vehicle head on.
Authorities advise to avoid the area.
Both drivers have minor injuries.
At the moment, the northbound lane of 29th Street is closed off to traffic.
