The assistant fire chief for La Feria’s volunteer fire department is in custody on charges of continuous sexual abuse of a child and invasive visual recording, Cameron County jail records show.

Reynaldo Losoya was booked into the county jail Thursday after he was arrested by the Texas Department of Public Safety. His bond is set at $200,000.

La Feria Police Chief Cesar Diaz confirmed the arrest and said the incident happened while Losoya was off-duty.
